Jack's Artwork

Here are some of Jack's creative masterpieces!

Drawings of 2007

Trireme Jack drew this trireme on the airplane from Germany to Canada in June 2007. We learned about triremes (a kind of boat used by Greeks and such) in our history lessons. You can see a giant squid and a shark swimming around below the ship. Squid Just a really fine looking giant squid! One of Jack's favorite critters! This squid is about to eat a fish!
Crocodile A crocodile...or is it an alligator? Jack drew this in November 2007. We have been using "Draw Write Now" to practice art and this is one of those. Turtle Another "Draw Write Now" critter...a turtle!

Early Drawings

Dinosaurs Before Dark Soon after Jack's 4th birthday, Mama started reading chapter books to him. We started with the Magic Tree House series and Jack adores them! Here is a picture that Jack drew after reading Dinosaurs Before Dark (book 1). He also told Mama what the story was about and she wrote it down for him! Fish Aquarium Jack got some Ed Emberley drawing books for his 4th birthday. He learned how to draw fish from these books and this is the aquarium he drew! Strong Monster At 3 1/2 and 4 years old, Jack loves to make puppets. Here's one of the cutest. He called it "Strong Monster". He drew, cut, pasted and googley eyed it all by himself!
Humpback Whale Jack's newest masterpiece...a Humpback Whale! Can you see it's eye? Tail? How about it "mouth bites"? Jack is just so cute. He likes drawing killer whales and baby killer whales too!
Train Tracks This is the very first thing Jack ever made that wasn't just scribbles. You can see letters and a set of yellow train tracks that Papa made in the upper right hand corner. But in the middle-ish of the page you can see the train tracks that Jack made with a purple rail and brown cross bars! WOW! Man and Boat Jack created this masterpiece using lots of ripped pieces of construction paper and glue. He made a man and a boat. Mama helped him sign his name.
