The Protectors Of The Hearth are holy warriors of Bellatra, the mother-goddess of Good and Family. They are dedicated to both defending with force of arms against active evil threats but also to coaxing others to help each other, and not give in to selfishness.

A Protector Of The Hearth gains a +2 morale bonus on all saving throws against enchantment spells and effects. Their devotion to Bellatra focuses their thoughts against any such magical beguilement.
One minute per class level per day, a Protector Of The Hearth may draw upon Bellatra's power to aid him in protecting his home. While within 30' of his home, this grants him +2 caster levels to all class spells cast and +1 to hit, damage, saves, and skill rolls while the power lasts. The Protector Of The Hearth may choose to spread this over several uses per day. In order to use this ability, the Protector Of The Hearth must have a designated permanent home, although a nomad may designate their wagon, tent, etc..
Beginning at 3rd level, a Protector Of The Hearth gains immunity to all charm and compulsion effects. His mind is Bellatra's, and she shields him so that he may not be subverted from her service.
Upon or after reaching 5th level, a Protector Of The Hearth may call for a celestial compaion. Bellatra sends this divine animal from her realms as an aid and friend to her servant, and a reminder of the beauty in the world. See Holy Liberator for this animal's abilities.
Beginning at 7th level, no more than once per month, a Protector Of The Hearth may cast "Refuge", the second version only, as a spell-like ability. Thus a family member or trusted servant could, in an emergency, instantly recall the Protector Of The Hearth to defend their home.
Protectors Of The Hearth must be of Good alignment and remain true to Bellatra's ideals. See "Ex-clerics" in PHB.
If a Protector Of The Hearth's home is ever destroyed, they must rebuild before they may gain any more levels as Protectors Of The Hearth.
